Privacy Policy

What We Collect

When you use PSL, we collect two categories of information:

Account data: Your name, email address, and password (stored securely using one-way hashing). If you create a public profile, we also store your bio and specialty.

Health data: Continuous glucose monitor (CGM) readings, meal logs, sleep records, energy and mood check-ins, supplement and product tracking entries, and any other data you enter during experiments. This data is the core of the service and is used to generate your personal insights and evidence portfolio.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Generate personal health insights and experiment results for you
• Track your progress across experiments over time
• Build your evidence portfolio, which you control
• Produce evidence reports for brand partners when you participate in their experiments
• Improve the platform (using aggregated, de-identified data only)

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these situations:

Brand experiments: When you choose to participate in a brand-sponsored experiment, the sponsoring brand receives your experiment results (glucose response data, outcome metrics, and any feedback you provide). Your name and email are not shared unless you explicitly opt in to being identified.

Anonymized benchmarks: Aggregate, de-identified data may be used to generate benchmark comparisons (e.g., “average glucose response for this product across all participants”). No individual is identifiable in these benchmarks.

Public portfolio: If you choose to make parts of your evidence portfolio public, that data is visible to anyone with the link. You control what is public and can change this at any time.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion:

• Your account information is permanently removed
• Your health data and experiment history are deleted
• Your evidence portfolio is taken offline
• Data already shared with brand partners in completed experiments may be retained by those partners in anonymized form

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you logged in (session authentication) and to remember your preferences (such as dashboard layout). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

A Note on HIPAA

PSL is a consumer wellness platform, not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse. We are not a “covered entity” under HIPAA. That said, we take the protection of your health data seriously and apply reasonable security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.
